Once you have a clear vision for the future, you can start making smaller goals and taking steps to reach those bigger goals. You'll create a more focused and achievable plan by thinking about the end first.
Know your ideal customer
I've heard from a lot of business owners, “I sell to everyone." In the end, it is real; anyone can buy a product from you; however, when we want to do marketing for everyone, we do not do marketing for anyone. Let me explain, if we sell products for women, are all women the same? Same interest? Same time in life? Same necessities? No, right? That is the reason we need to know who our real target is.
Once we know who our ideal customer is, then and only then can we start to think about what their needs are. Knowing your customer will help us with the messaging in digital marketing, from website design to social media posts.
Understand the customer journey
Do you know how your customer moves thru the sales process? How do they know about you? How do they interact with us? How do they convert? How do we keep them engaged for an extended time?
Sometimes we care about the sale but don't forget that any business creates a relationship with the client. And to build a relationship, there are a few steps you have to consider.
Level 1: How do we get clients to know about us? How are they aware of our brand, business, and offer?
Level 2: How do we get the prospects to convert into leads? How do we excite those leads convert them to happy clients?
Level 3: How do we keep a long relationship with our clients and get them to review our product/service and refer new clients to us?
One step at a time! After reading this blog, you see a room full of opportunities to build your brand and increase sales. First, however, it is crucial to understand the margin in easy wins in one bridge. That means creating a strategy aligned with our business goal and optimizing it until we are sure that the process works and we get the expected result. Just until that moment, you should move to a new strategy.
Measure, measure, measure.
To close the circle, measure. Find the correct KPIs to measure your efforts. Assign the responsibility to someone who is not the owner of the other task and follow up weekly. Don't forget that you can't manage what you don't measure.
